Albert Howard Villmer
Albert Villmer of Richwoods, Missouri was born on Monday, January 10, 1938 in Richwoods, Missouri a son of the late, Emma (Recar) Villmer and Elmer Villmer. Albert departed this life on Friday, June 18, 2010 at the SSM St. Clare Health Center, Fenton, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-two years, five months and eight days.
Albert was united in marriage to Loretta Brown on June 22, 1957 in Richwoods, Missouri.
Albert is survived by three daughters, Karen Rice and husband, Terry of St. Clair, Missouri, Linda Thebeau and husband, Gary of Union, Missouri, Barb Thebeau and husband, Jamie of Richwoods, Missouri; one sister, Rose Friend and husband, Claude of Luebbering, Missouri; one brother, David “Pete” Villmer of Richwoods, Missouri; ten grandchildren, one great grandchildren, Wesley; and dear and special friend, Pat Meyer of Union, Missouri. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Villmer, two sons, Howard J. Villmer, Michael Villmer, one infant daughter, Julie Marie Villmer, one sister, Catherine Rogers, two brothers, Walter J. Villmer, James Villmer and one grandson, Travis Rice.
Al loved the outdoors he was always looking forward to a hunting or fishing trip. He was a parishioner of the St. Stephen Catholic Church, Richwoods, Missouri. He enjoyed all music, playing the guitar and dancing. He also enjoyed going to flea markets. Albert had a great love for fried chicken; he always said, “The only thing better than fried chicken is more fried chicken”. He will be lovingly missed by the many lives he has touched.
Visitation was held Monday, June 21, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church, Richwoods, Missouri with Father Robert Liss officiating. Honoring Albert by serving as pallbearers were: Jeremy Villmer, Cheryl Terschluse, Gary Lasater, Charlie Courtouise, Mickey Villmer and David Villmer.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Stephen Catholic Cemetery, Richwoods, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
