Violet Eveline Blankenship Belvin, of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 78, at the Potosi Manor in Potosi, Missouri. She was born on December 31, 1946, in Potosi, and was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
A woman of strong faith, Violet was a devoted member of the First Church of God in East Prairie, Missouri, where she found community and spiritual fulfillment.
Violet was previously married to Everett Lee Belvin for 26 years. Together, they had two children. She is survived by her sons, Kevin Paul Belvin (Theresa) and Everett Lee Belvin II (Mary), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Isaac, Emma Caroline, Rhett, and Holland. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Ima Jean Veach (Al), and brother, Monroe Lelan Blankenship (Dianne), along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Violet was a 1964 graduate of Potosi High School. She enjoyed sewing, baking, camping, traveling, and visiting with her friends and family.
Violet dedicated 34 years of service to the United States Postal Service, working as a rural mail carrier in East Prairie and Portageville, Missouri. She took pride in her work and cherished her connections with those along her route.
Violet will be remembered for her resilience and unwavering love for her family.
