Ruby Walker
Ruby Walker of Potosi, Missouri was born on April 5, 1917 in Quaker, Missouri a daughter of the late, Pearl (Martin) Tedder and Charles Tedder. Ruby departed this life on November 6, 2008 at the Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center, Farmington, Missouri having reached the age of ninety-one years, seven months and one day.
Ruby is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Nipper and husband, Cyril of Potosi, Missouri; two sons, Charles Wilborn and wife, Teresita of San Diego, California, John Mason of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Edith Nipper of Belgrade, Missouri; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Doris Tedder of San Diego, California; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by three husbands, James Wilborn, Clifton Mason and Bill Walker, one son, Dallas Wilborn, three brothers, Theodore Tedder, Harvey Tedder and Martin Tedder, two sisters, Jewel Carlsen and Marie Tedder.
Ruby enjoyed square dancing, sewing, camping and gardening. She was an avid reader with her favorite being romance novels. Ruby had worked for many different companies through the years with a few being, Brown Shoe Factory, Convair Aircraft, Vicker Electric Company and did domestic work for others taking care of their residences. She also enjoyed attending church services at the nursing center. Ruby was a very kind woman who will be greatly missed by the many lives she has touched.
Visitation was held Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 12:3- PM to 3:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend Wayne Trousdale officiating.
Final Services and Burial will be held at the El Camino Memorial Park, San Diego, California.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Services of Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
