Melanie Rosie Emily-Wall was born on May 30, 1956 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a daughter of the late, Helen L. (Johnston) Wall and George E. Wall, Sr. Rosie departed this life on January 16, 2013 having reached the age of fifty-six years, seven months and seventeen days.
Rosie is survived by one son, Zachary Emily and wife, Cynthia of St. Louis, Missouri; one granddaughter, Aubrey Elizabeth Emily of St. Louis, Missouri; seven sisters, Joyce Christopher of Cadet, Missouri, GeorgeAnn Cash and husband, Roy of St. Louis, Missouri, Rebecca Queen and husband, Ron of Festus, Missouri, Margaret Peters and husband, Ron of Festus, Missouri, Susan Kinnison of Bloomsdale, Missouri, Sharon Sansoucie and husband, Kenny of Cadet, Missouri, Judy Wall of Washington, Missouri; one brother, George Wall, Jr. of Hillsboro, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Emily, three sisters, Glenda Reando, Dorothy Portell, Helen “Chicky” Benson and one brother, Timothy J. Wall.
Rosie was a very creative person; she enjoyed painting, collecting art and other unique items. She loved to read just about everything with her favorite being Shakespeare. Rosie also enjoyed watching movies and was known to be a wonderful cook. She loved her family and friends, who will all deeply miss her.
Memorial Visitation was held Monday, January 21, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Memorial Mass was held Monday, January 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper and Deacon Ed Boyer officiating.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
