Ralph Waller of Potosi, Missouri was born on Sunday, August 28, 1921 and departed this life on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, Missouri.
Ralph was united in marriage to Ruth LaVerne Mercer on April 19, 1958 in Tunica, Mississippi.
Ralph is survived by his daughter, Janet Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; half sister, Joan Barton and husband, Leo of Irondale, Missouri; three grandchildren, Rodney Boyer and wife, Tammy, Denise Coleman, Yvonne Boyer; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; his aunt Margaret Coleman of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his loving wife LaVerne Waller, one daughter, Beverly Coleman, two grandchildren, Ronald Coleman and Paula Ann Coleman.
Ralph served his Country by enlisting into the United States Army on May 27, 1944 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. While serving Ralph received the Good Conduct Medal and was Honorably Discharged on February 2, 1946.
Ralph work as an over the road truck driver, owning several of his own rigs. As with many teamsters he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. To pass the time, Ralph would go to various restaurants with a couple of his favorites being, Cracker Barrel and the Huddle House. Ralph also enjoyed watching wrestling and old time country music shows. Throughout the years Ralph collected many expensive whiskey decanters.
Visitation was held Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Dismissal Service was at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri.
Burial took place in the Hopewell Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri where Ralph received full military honors consisting of a firing party taps, folding and presentation of the American Flag.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
