Raymond Gerard “Boonie” Ward of Cadet, Missouri was born on Saturday, November 11, 1961 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a son of the late, Bernita Lucy (Boyer) Ward and the late, Charles “Junior” Ward. “Boonie” departed this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis having reached the age of fifty-four years, five months and one day.
He was united in marriage to Linda Wren on February 16, 1996 in Daytona Beach, Florida and shared twenty years together.
“Boonie” is survived by his loving wife, Linda Ward of Cadet, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Heather Coleman and Dru McCaa of High Ridge, Missouri; Alis Politte and husband, Jared of Potosi, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kayla Lemons and Addison Coleman; three sisters, Donna Laramore and husband, Andy of Potosi, Missouri; Ann “Duggie” Cain and William “Toby” Kitts of Cumming, Georgia; Lucy “Belle” Ward of Cadet, Missouri; four brothers, Anthony C. “Tony” Ward and wife, Merellene “Boo” of Charleston, South Carolina; Lawrence T. “Larry” Ward of Cadet, Missouri; Christopher J. “Chippy” Ward and wife, Joey “Jo Jo” of DeSoto, Missouri; Robert J. “Bubba” Ward and wife, Eileen “Lola” of Camdenton, Missouri; also surviving are nieces and nephews: Casey, Cory, Kayla, Brock, Kyle, Trevor, Chelsea, Ian, Zach, Sarah, Nick, Shannon, Cody, Kate; other relatives and many special and close friends.
He was a parishioner of the St. Joachim Catholic Church and co-owner of Ward Pallet Company. “Boonie” loved to spend time with his granddaughters and his other family and friends. He enjoyed the gifts of Mother Nature, going camping, four-wheeling and working on old cars. He also enjoyed watching his favorite T.V. sitcoms and racing. “Boonie” loved life and will be missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation was held Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi.
Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Tony Dattilo celebrating and Father Richard Tillman co-celebrating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers and Honoring the memory of Boonie was Kyle Cain, Ian Ward, Zac Ward, Trevor Ward, Jimmy Beach, Roger Pinson, Edward Meckfessel, Larry Luebbers and Willy Copeland, Kenny Harness, Dallas Kincaid, Tony Valle; Honorary Pallbearers were Kayla Lemons and Addy Coleman
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
