Bonnie Lee West of Potosi, Missouri was born on January 26, 1934 in Clearcreek, Missouri a daughter of the late, Francis Lucille (Womack) Roberts and Elmer Smith. Bonnie departed this life on August 15, 2008 at the Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-four years, six months and twenty days.
Bonnie is survived by one daughter, Debra McGinley of Washington, Missouri; three sons, Charles Edward Owens, Jr. and wife, Connie of Wright City, Missouri, Mark Houston Owens of Mineral Point, Missouri, Anthony Zane West and wife, Regina of Mineral Point, Missouri; five sisters, Kay Daniels and husband, Bill of Falcon, Missouri, Charlotte Rutledge and husband, Randy of Ironton, Missouri, Verla Elliott of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Sandy Lane of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Loretta Crisp and husband, Dennis of Mountain Grove, Missouri; four brothers, Rodney Smith and wife, Marilyn of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Elmer Smith, Jr. and wife, Francis of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Linnie Smith of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Bill Birch of Black, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Dale West and one brother, Zane Smith.
Bonnie enjoyed being in the outdoors spending time at the creek, fishing and camping. She loved to can, sew and crochet. Bonnie also enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping and Pepsi. She loved visiting with her family and friends who will all deeply miss her.
Visitation was held Sunday, August 17, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, August 18, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Monday, August 18, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend Rick Wade officiating.
Final prayers and burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. In loving memory and honor, Brian Owens, Joey Owens, Dusty Jones, Garrett West, Dakota Rowe and Patrick Owens served as Pallbearers.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
