John Joseph Whitter
John Whitter of Cadet, Missouri was born on Saturday, November 15, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of the late, Stella (Pashia) Whitter and Juyel William Whitter. John departed this life on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-eight years, two months and twenty-eight days.
John was united in marriage to Janice Irene Sampson on July 20, 1963 at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri and was blessed with three children.
John is survived by two daughters, Justine Ann Rolens and husband, Danny of Cadet, Missouri; Sherry Marie Marler and husband, Wade of Desloge, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Nathan, Tabatha, Nicholas, Megan, Lindsey, Eithen and Trevor; five great grandchildren, Jade, Kayden, Lilly, Peyton and Mackenzi; five sisters, Barbara Lewis and husband, Dickey of DeSoto, Missouri, Rosey Byers and husband, Earl of DeSoto, Missouri, Jane Owens and husband, Virgil of California, Ruby Byers and husband, Don of DeSoto, Missouri Donna Tidwell and husband, Jimmy of DeSoto, Missouri; one brother, Paul Whitter and wife, Jean of DeSoto, Missouri; special friends, Mike and Diane Riddle of Cadet, Missouri; and his special care giver and friend, Diane Politte of Cadet, Missouri; also surviving are nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice Whitter who passed January 8, 2010, son, John “Jay” Joseph Whitter, Jr., one brother, Homer Dale Whitter.
John enjoyed spending time in the outdoors camping and hunting. He also enjoyed classic cars and going on road rides. John loved to spend time with family and friends at the lake or at the houses, enjoying friendship, stories and good food.
Visitation was held Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, February 15, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Brother Jeff Richards officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. In Love and Serving as Pallbearers were: Wade Marler, Nathan Coleman, Mike Riddle, Carl Harris, Mike Whitter and Jeff Whitter.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
