Glen Richard Chris Williams of Cadet, Missouri was born Sunday, October 25, 1936 in Potosi, Missouri. He was the son of the late, Buddy Williams and the late, Mattie (Cover) Williams. Glen departed this life on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-eight years, two months and twelve days.
Glen was united in marriage to Patsy Malloy on February 26, 1972 in Cadet, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Williams of Cadet, Missouri; sons, David and wife, Diane Williams of Moral, Illinois; Phillip Williams and friend, Ashley of Potosi, Missouri; Buddy Williams of Cadet, Missouri; daughters, Debbie and husband, Ross Abner of Kentucky; Doris McCasland and friend, Chuck of Westfield, Wisconsin; Tammy Rogers and friend, Gene of Cadet, Missouri; Becky Williams and friend, Daniel of Park Hills, Missouri; sister, Catherine Fowler of Saint Louis, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by brothers, George Williams and Steve Wilson, sisters, Dolly Derby, Mindy Davis, Alice Wilson and Virginia Wilson.
Glen loved to spend time outdoors going fishing and hunting. Spending time with his family and friends at their gatherings was one of his favorite things, especially when they would have fish fries. He enjoyed watching western movies and listening to gospel and country music. Glen loved his family and friends as he will be missed by all.
Visitation was held from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2015 and Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 AM on Sunday at Moore Memorial Chapel located at 105 Clark Street Potosi, Missouri 63664 with Brother Don Strauser officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were, David Williams, Phillip Williams, Stanley Williams, Clinton Williams, Danny Boyer and Tim Busse.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
