Deloris Woods
Deloris Woods of Adams, Tennessee was born on February 15, 1937 in Potosi, Missouri a daughter of the late, Nora Vanee and J.B. Lawson. Deloris departed this life on August 25, 2008 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee having reached the age of seventy-one years, six months and ten days.
Deloris is survived by husband, Raymond E. Woods of Adams, Tennessee; daughter, Linda Jo Woods of Springfield, Tennessee; sons, Ray Woods, Jr. of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Richard A. Woods of Potosi, Missouri; brothers, Earl Lawson, Espen Lawson, Rueben Lawson, Bud Lawson, Jim Lawson and Eddie Lawson; sisters, Marie Skiles and Mildred King also surviving are six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by one son, Leon Woods, brothers, Nelson Lawson, Sam Lawson, Rueb Lawson and sisters, Ruby Wynick, Marcella Woods, Ethel Morgan and Hester Woods.
Deloris enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a homemaker of Baptist Faith.
Visitation was held Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 10:00 Am to 1:00 PM with a funeral service at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Bud Lawson officiating.
Final prayers and burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
