William John Yates
William John Yates of Cadet, Missouri was born on Thursday, June 23, 1988 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri to Cheryl (Gabriel) and William Joseph Yates. William departed this life on Sunday, October 18, 2009 having reached the age of twenty-one years, three months and twenty-five days.
William is survived by his mother and father, Cheryl and William Joseph Yates of Cadet, Missouri; two sisters, Dawn Yates and Jessica Yates both of Cadet, Missouri; five brothers, Tom Yates, Michael Yates, Jeffrey Yates, Brendan Yates and Cody Yates all of Cadet, Missouri; maternal grandfather, John Gabriel of Joliet, Illinois; paternal grandparents, JoAnn and Bill Ray Yates of O’Fallon, Missouri; also surviving are aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. William was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Emily Gabriel.
William attended the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri. He was a 2004 Graduate of Kingston High School, Cadet, Missouri. William enjoyed sports of all kinds with his favorites being, baseball, soccer and bowling. He was very mechanically inclined always trying to fix anything he could. William loved his family and spending time with them.
Visitation was held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was Celebrated on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating.
Honoring William by serving as pallbearers were: Tom Gabriel, Jeffrey Yates, Chuck Yates, Joe Yates, Richard Wilke and Jeff Creacy.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark St., Potosi, Missouri.
